We are recruiting experienced, driven cleaning professionals to lead our external cleaning teams — operating across commercial, industrial and residential sites, working with specialist equipment to produce outstanding results on every job.

• Drain cleaning

As an External Cleaning Manager, you will lead operatives on-site, taking direct ownership of the quality, safety and efficiency of all exterior cleaning works. You will plan and coordinate jobs, brief your team on methods and equipment, carry out quality inspections, and act as the primary point of contact for clients on-site. A hands-on approach and thorough knowledge of exterior cleaning techniques is essential.

Key duties include:

• Planning and supervising external cleaning operations across multiple commercial and residential sites
• Operating and overseeing the safe use of jet washing, pressure washing and steam cleaning equipment
• Managing working-at-height activities including cherry pickers, MEWPs, scaffolding and water-fed pole systems
• Conducting pre-job risk assessments and toolbox talks, ensuring full compliance with COSHH and health & safety regulations
• Scheduling operatives, managing equipment logistics and ensuring vehicles and machinery are maintained and roadworthy
• Carrying out quality inspections mid-job and on completion, ensuring results meet company and client standards
• Handling on-site client communications professionally and resolving any issues promptly
• Training and mentoring cleaning operatives in correct techniques, equipment use and safe working practices
• Accurately completing job sheets, timesheets and equipment maintenance logs

What we’re looking for:

• Proven hands-on experience in exterior cleaning — jet washing, window cleaning, façade cleaning or similar
• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience within the cleaning, facilities or construction services sector
• Confident working at height and familiar with safe working-at-height procedures and equipment
• Sound understanding of COSHH, risk assessments and health & safety compliance in an outdoor environment
• Strong organisational skills — able to manage multiple jobs, teams and client expectations simultaneously
• A full UK driving licence (essential — role involves travel between sites)
• CSCS and IPAF qualifications preferred
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, client-facing manner
